Alta Idea was founded in 2008 with a single ambition: to design spaces that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful. Based in London and working with clients worldwide, the studio specialises in residential, office, and hospitality design, bringing together refined aesthetics, architectural thinking, and an understanding of how people truly want to live and work.

Every project begins with a question rather than a mood board: not just what a space should look like, but how it should feel to inhabit.

Approach

Alta Idea operates as a full-service studio, guiding each project from the first conversation through to completion. Every stage is handled with the same level of care and precision: from concept and creative direction to space planning, contractor coordination, and on-site supervision from early construction through to the last detail. 

The result is a process defined by clarity and ease. No construction headaches, no logistical complexity. Just a space that reflects their vision and is built to last.

Founder

Julia Baidyk has been working in design since 2004 and founded the studio four years later, with a clear conviction: that beautiful interiors are not simply designed, but carefully considered.

She follows the currents shaping architecture and interiors globally — through exhibitions, continued study, and an evolving design practice. Two decades of experience, combined with close personal involvement in every commission, give Alta Idea its distinctive character.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
