The clients, a young married couple, asked us to come up with a layout which would have a common open living-room/kitchen area, a bedroom and a children's room, two bathrooms and a separate dressing room. The compulsory items on the project programme were a hidden washer and dryer and a water filtration system.
The owners of this apartment are extremely active and positive people. They are energetic people, who spend most of their time in meetings with their clients, in endless phone conversations, absorbed by the flow of thousands of questions and the hustle and bustle of the metropolis. Therefore, the key point for them was to create their own special oasis of peace, in which they could immerse themselves in comfort and harmony with themselves. The only bright part of the interior was to be the husband’s shower room, because it is important for him to start his day cheerfully, with his favourite music and in a good mood.
We chose a harmonious natural colour scheme, but diluted it with splashes of saturated terracotta. Soft fabric panels on the walls in the living room and bedroom fill the space with pleasant tactile emotions. The high ceilings allowed us to install a hidden hanging cinema screen in the living room, as well as additional spotlights and speakers throughout the apartment. The sound system is gives each room its own playlist. A large screen emerging from the ceiling, soft panels and the warm built-in LED lighting create the feeling of a cosy home cinema.
The elegant bedroom harmoniously combines design, art and the simplicity of natural beauty. Here, wooden fragments behind the bed and mirror inserts that reflect the sun's rays from the window create cosiness and a very beautiful play of light. The colour of the furniture matches the walls, so the overall composition is well-balanced. This room feels soothing and harmonious.
The shower-room and the hallway create bright contrast in this interior. Cheerful terracotta hues bring in light mood and positivity. In contrast to them, the bathroom is quite restrained and ascetic, it soothes and envelops in relaxed mental silence. However, these two different bathrooms have a common feature: tiles with stone chips.
Soft corduroy cushions and armchairs in the kitchen, together with a velvet niche at the entrance, complete the modern minimalist interior and give warm vibes. A particularly magical and meditative moment comes at sunset, when the living room and the kitchen, filled with the warm pink-blue hues of the evening sky, look like a dreamy oasis of calm.
